Bandit CrossFit Announces Weightlifting Program


Bandit CrossFit teen, Casey Ferguson, lifting in the first ever Mississippi weightlifting meet–hosted by the Mississippi Barbell Club. The third annual Mississippi Weightlifting Championship meet is scheduled for June 4, 2016!

Bandit CrossFit announces the addition of a weightlifting program in our continued quest to provide quality coaching and instruction. Our staff continually strives to meet the demands and diverse interests of our ever-growing Bandit family. Our six-week weightlifting program is designed to help new AND experienced lifters to get stronger, more technically proficient and better at the clean and jerk and snatch.

If your goal is to get better at these lifts to enhance your CrossFit workout, improve your speed and strength for sport, or to compete in a meet, we are here to help you meet your goals!

The program will be directed by Bandit Coach, Samantha Guthrie. Coach Sam is a USAW Level 1 Sports Coach. She has been coaching our Bandits in weightlifting for two years in our classes. She is also an accomplished lifter with competitive lifting experience under her belt.

Our weightlifting classes will meet in-person twice a week for six weeks. Class participants will also be assigned a lifting session they must complete on their own. Participants may use our gym during class times, or come in during the day on their own schedule. Participants will send ONE chosen lift video from this session to Coach Sam for critique and feedback. Any additional video critiques will be $10.

WHEN:
Classes for the first session will meet on the following dates:
May:
week 1: 16th and 21st
week 2: 25th and 28th
week 3: 30th and June 3
June:
week 4: 6th and 11th
week 5: 15th and 18th
week 6: 20th and 24th

Weekday classes are from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Weekend class times will be 10:30 am on Saturday, and Sunday afternoons on Sundays.

Additional six-week sessions are scheduled as we plan to keep this program going year-round! Stay tuned for the dates of the next session to be released soon!

WHO IS IT FOR:
This program is open to Bandit CrossFit/Boot Camp members AND nonmembers. Space is limited! We want to keep the quality high for our participants.

HOW MUCH:
Bandit Members: $150
Non-members: $225 (non members will be granted Open Gym access to our facility one time per week for the six week program.)
