Bandit CrossFit Intern Course 2017

Have you thought about becoming a CrossFit Coach?

Are you prepping to take your CrossFit Level 1 Trainer course?

Do you want to learn more about modifying and scaling different exercises?

Bandit CrossFit head coach, Janice Ferguson, has a great opportunity to help you expand your knowledge about CrossFit and what it takes to become a great trainer and coach with our Bandit CrossFit Intern course. All coaches at Bandit CrossFit must take this course, and many others have taken the course to expand their knowledge as well. We would love to have you in class with us! Keep reading to get answers to some frequently asked questions about the course:

What’s the course like?
The course has two components that are held on different days each week:

1) Lecture: (two hours) Classroom setting that is made up of lecture, discussion, and hands-on activities. During this time, interns will learn how to “see” movement faults, and how to give verbal, visual, and tactile cues to correct those faults in the 9 foundational CrossFit movements. Nutrition, programming, and CrossFit theory are just a few of the many additional topics covered. Students will also choose a book or video from our extensive strength and conditioning library and present a summary report on a topic of their interest.

2) Lab: (one hour) One or two participants will function as group class coaches while the remaining participants workout as their clients. After class is over, the group will provide constructive feedback. This is a great way for a prospective coach to get immediate feedback in a forgiving environment.
